 SDCC eating
For those of you in town this weekend and in the mood for some good Japanese food, there is a pair of robataya styled restaurants that just opened up. Its a tad expensive but the food quality is very good and the atmosphere is nice. Anyways just tossing it out there for anyone who is interested... http://okanus.com/http://www.sandiegotown.com/restaurant/?id=2493Anyone else can feel free to post their other (non In N' Out ) eating suggestions too.

 Re: SDCC eating
Yeah Tajima is great. I think the ramen one is better and cheaper.
Some of my favorite places (not necessarily near the convention center):
Pelly's Cafe & Fish Market (good fish sandwiches) 7110 Avenida Encinas Carlsbad, CA 92011
Indian Tandoor 6755 Mira Mesa Blvd San Diego, CA 92121
El Dorado (Peruvian) 311 Palomar St Chula Vista, CA 91911
Muzita Abyssinian Bistro (Ethiopian) 4651 Park Blvd San Diego, CA 92116
Raul's Shack (Mexican) 490 S Coast Hwy 101 Encinitas, CA 92024
Hill Street Cafe & Gallery (Some vegan) 524 S Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA 92054
Phuong Trang-Vietnamese & Chinese Cuisine 4170 Convoy St San Diego, CA 92111
Sipz Fuzion Cafe (Vegan) 9450 Scranton Rd San Diego, CA 92121
Extraordinary Desserts (I like their sandwiches too) 1430 Union St San Diego, CA 92101
Roxy Restaurant 517 S Coast Hwy 101 Encinitas, CA 92024
Hodad's (Burgers) 5010 Newport Ave San Diego, CA 92107

 Re: SDCC eating
Ciro's New York Style Pizza
534 Market St (between 5th Ave & 6th Ave) San Diego, CA 92101 (619) 696-0405 Wed-Sat 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m. Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m
Its five or six bucks depending on special for two slices and a fountain drink. Thin crust, not for deep dish lovers. In case you aren't feeling the legendary double doubles and still want to save money for con stuff, veggie alternatives as well, call ahead though it varies daily. Close to 5 and a Dime and the armory as well. One of my favorite food spots to go when I was at SDSU.

Jobber wrote: Vegetarian Mexican food = Pokez!! 10th + E st Pokez sucks, went once and the service was horrible. It took for ever. Its cheap if you got the time to waste. When we got our check the guy mentioned his staph infection to the waitress that was trying to nap... I know I was not to return. Sipz is good for vegans/vegetarians and I always hit Royal Thai a few blocks away from the con on 5th I believe... And for Mexican veggie breakfast, again if you got the time on 30th st Rancho's
