 1 month cold turkey
I did it. Not a single piece of vinyl in a month. Sadly I can't come to the board or otherwise acknowledge that Japanese vinyl exists, but the change in my spending has otherwise been really positive. I miss the boards and some of you boardies and hopefully I'll be able to participate with collecting again in a less compulsive way at some point. I am just surprised/excited that it can actually be done.

 Re: 1 month cold turkey
I tried this in March and ended up with one figure. I was able to do it again from Mid May to Mid June but only because my paypal was frozen with a bogus claim. It's really tough. Good job, you have more will power than I do that's for sure!

The first step is admitting you have an addiction...

Argh. Congrats. I told myself I'm taking a break after SDCC. But it's definitely not happening...

The 2nd step is recognizing a power greater than yourself. The whole recovery process is a pseudo religious experience. And the darnedest thing is it works. I have not smoked crack in at least 45 minutes. "easy does it" and congrats on your self denial!

 Re: 1 month cold turkey
I can't remember the last time I bought a toy. I think I bought several early in the first two months of the year but everything since has been trades. There's been toys I've wanted to buy, but either they weren't available to me or I haven't had the money. I still enjoy seeing everything that comes out even if I can't buy it or don't want it.

 Re: 1 month cold turkey
I've went many, many weeks without buying anything...all due to lack of $$$.

Booo!! I will not congratulate the lack of toy buying! If I have to buy toys all day everyday so do you!
