 Powerful Indonesia quake
Not sure anyone else on the board from Indonesia. It happen only beside the city where I live. Feeling bad coz when the earth quake occur, I still laying around the floor to feel the quake and telling my wife that its kind of fun (We lived at central of Sumatra where usually earth quake only happen around west side Sumatra). Found out the next day that the quake causes almost half of the East Sumatra city collapse and kill more than 500 peoples and most of us still have relatives or friend staying there. It's been 4 days, many people who trapped inside the building are mostly passed away. All the air around the city are getting bad. But thanks to many country for supporting us.

 Re: Powerful Indonesia quake
So sorry to hear about friends and relatives that may be in harms way. It has to be a terrible experience for you and your wife. I am glad to hear that the two of you got through this without any major physical injuries. My thoughts are with you.

Thank God you're ok, S!
Was the tremor bad where you're at? Buildings in Singapore was swaying too. Lucky for me I was having dinner at a cafe on ground level. Didn't feel a thing.

 Re: Powerful Indonesia quake
Thank for all concern. The tremor is not so bad but all the building was shaking and even when you are driving still felt it. My brother thought he was sick feeling dizzy but realize when he saw all the cable on the road are shaking. There is miracle moment happen to my friend cousin trapped on his house where his parent went to work. When the earthquake he rush from 3rd floor to the main door, but the door is jammed due to the impact. But few moment before collapse the door crack by itself (maybe due to big impact) and he manage to go out. But many people died because trapped from the collapse, there no so much equipment for help those. So will have more victims since there no more sound from the collapse building and smell very bad now.
