Great game so far. 1 - 1 and Italy have just had a guy sent off for smacking McBride in the face with an elbow. Blood flowing everywhere.

Come on USA!!

How so? all the sendings off have been spot on.

Nasty, nasty elbow for the first. Lunging tackle with studs showing that could have broke an ankle, and the third was a crap tackle from behind and he didn't win the ball - easy second yellow.

Well his main "suckness" was that he was whipping out the cards inappropriately in a game like this... should let the "boys" play the game. He fucked the game basically for everybody by gimping both teams without real need.

I don't really think any of the send-offs were correct.

But that is just my opinion, and it is a judgment call.

The US commentators, at least, doubted that this ref would see another game.
