I've been watching A LOT of Ultraman with my son lately. I know most of the kaiju in the opening sequence and I point them out to him as they flash by. But I don't know who these 2 dudes are.



Can anyone help identify them?

Is one of them Neronga?

and maybe Bemler?

The atmos site lists those t-shirts as Neronga. The first one kinda looks like him, but this is Neronga from the opening.



Not sure why they'd use the same monster twice when there are others to choose from.

The second one is similar to Bemler but not really the same.

Both of them are Neronga from the two different openings of the show. The other monster is supposed to be マグラ or Magura (Magllah).

If this is Magura and the one you say is Magura, why use the same monster twice in the same opening? At least each Neronga was used in different openings.

It just seems weird that they'd use the same monsters when there were so many to choose from. But then again, the original opening has a bunch of Ultra Q dudes in it.

Maybe after 40+ years I can get them to fix this.

That's actually supposed to be モングラー (or Mongura) from ULTRA Q; as you noted, there are several ULTRA Q monsters in the opening credits to ULTRAMAN, including Goroh, Peguila, and Kanegon.
