well Im looking for a used car right now and thought I'd hit up the ole carfax thing to check out a possible vehicle purchase..but found these reviews as I was checking on the reliability of carmax.

dont trust their warranty or their buddy company carchex..with their extended warranty..I cant find anywhere online that they have actually bought back the car from someone... or with carchex..honored their extended warranty..except on the testimonials on their own sites

boring stuff but glad I saw it before I started paying for bullshit

go down to figueroa avenue (around avenue 50 or so) in highland park. tons of cars parked along both sides of the street (starting where the food maxx is located). you can buy a beat up old junker for $800. when it dies, just leave it on the freeway.

carfax is cheap compared with what you're paying for the car, and gives some useful information. the information isn't necessarily complete though, and i wouldn't trust their "warranty" at all. the best thing you can do if you find a car you like is to get it inspected by a mechanic you trust.

thats what Im a do..I just hear about a lot of problems with cars that dont show up on carfax records
