I guess this is a case where some of us are going to have to let go of our Harryhausen/Stop-Motion worship and just enjoy the ride. I've gotta say, as an old-fashioned dumb/fun spectacle, it looks pretty great. The brief glimpses of Medusa actually look a bit like Ray's old creation, nice touch.

I remember when the OG came out, they would'nt let me and my friend in cause we were like,
10 years old. We had to eat our bags of Fritos in the parking lot, waiting for my dad
Medusa was freaking me out then, anyway.

i don't really consider this a "re-make". the technology has changed so much that to try and emulate the original would be a farce. this looks pretty good; it's just hard to push away the images of the original's characters. the original perseus was kind of too pretty. the new guy looks more military and clean-cut, but i guess tastes have changed since 81.

I always imagined Perseus would look like Perseus.

I love the Harryhausen stuff, but this also looks like a good time.
Would much rather watch this than Transformers or Ironman.
Thanks posting.

I love Harryhausen's work in stop motion animation, but aside from the special effects, the original Clash of the Titans was a terrible movie. I am fine w/ Hollywood taking a stab at Greek mythology, but I am amazed they are remaking this one. Will it have that fucking mechanical owl?

Of all the Harryhausen movies, Jason and the Argonauts is my favorite. Hope they leave that one alone.

See I think Iron man looks fun, I thought the first one was fun, they picked the perfect person to play a narcissistic asshole and it worked.
This, well why not just make a different greek mythos based movie, why retread the past.

And I love that fucking owl.

could be worse..they could of cast Pitt or Gerard Butt-ler.

When does the Flash Gordon get remade?
Maybe 'Three Doors Down' can update Queen's audio....
