Shipping a detolf is insane if I recall. Something like 150 bucks! I see now they don't even offer shipping of it.

I know, not much of a deal if you have to spend that kind of money to ship. Last time I used a store delivery because I bought some other furniture.
I think it was 70 0r 80 for delivery.
I kind of want to wrap a shelf around a wall instead. But I like the detolf for protection if a toy gets knocked or falls it doesn't take a paint destroying fall.

my favorite part of the sale was while waiting to pick one up, the employees were saying "only one per customer, only one per customer" as they loaded 5 or 6 onto more than one persons cart....

hey dude, which one did you go to? i was at burbank today at 10 am and they said one per and i grabbed one and came back in for a second and i saw people with 4 and 5 on their carts. i was pissed. the place was a madhouse.

west covina... there was a feeding frenzy for sure. would've missed out had they not brought one last pallet out. stoked i scored one... definitely pissed to see one person attempting to load 10 into their van on the way out though.

Even I, ultimate Detolf hater, was tempted by the $20 price tag. My hate prevailed in the end, I don't need a museum in my house. Great sale though!

Personal museums in your home rule! Having kaiju museum next to record museum makes me so proud when viewed every morning. Then again I have OCD organization syndrome.

I had to pick up 2, it was just too cheap. I like how the add said "1 per customer" then when I got there, they had blacked that out and wrote "5 per household".

Organized clutter please. I like set ups similar to what I had as a kid. That's why I loves my toys, its a childhood connection. Sterile, cold museum displays depress me. No soul. But I don't have to live with them, different strokes.

motherfuck, it said they had some in stock online, actually the same # as this morning on the website, so I call and i get a national call center that reads from the computer as well duh.

so i drove 20 mins. to get to the store, and i threw 2 black ones on my cart.
they rang up as 59.99, urggh i asked and it was "only the white but we have 24 of those left".
calls another sales person to find out where they are, oh we are sold out.

wtf. assholes. haven't you ever heard of real time inventory.

The one here in Seattle still had a big stack of them as of 5PM last night. I wasn't counting on them having any. I grabbed one, wife grabbed another, paid separately...easy peasy. These are actually my first detolfs.

So is ikea just doing a run on getting rid of detolfs? Or are there other items they're trying to clear out also? I hope they don't stop making them. So it's just the white on sale nationally or is the birch available at the 19.99 price also? I like the birch/natural (aka fake) wood.
