Howdy gang -

Well, for many, many months now my business partner and I have been working on a large project called Toy+Life.

A bit of back history - many years ago I owned and ran Kubrick World, which was a well-received site and community as some of you know. After a number of mishaps with hackers / server issues I had decided to close the site.

This left me with an ever-growing collection along with a ton of contacts in the biz. After a few years of fun, followed by crappy, followed by fun jobs we decided that it was time to follow the paths that we should have embarked on, which was business owners! Screw making money for someone else

Right now we're at about 440 unique products with, literally, hundreds more that need to be shot and added. This is causing my hair to fall out and I'm aging like Benjamin Buttons but it's worth it.

One other stressful thing was whether or not post about our biz. Part of me said that I'd need to prepare for mega-flaming / banning, but the other part said that Lulubell, Grumble, Rotofugi, etc post some notices so I might as well give it a whirl.

So for what it's worth, thanks and welcome to Toy+Life!

We're actually going to start to port over the old KW.com forum to the Toy Life forum. Both use PHPBB although different versions so I'll need to see what I can pull from one to add to the other.

Another possibility will be the old gallery from KW.com - many folks used that as a reference for Kubricks and the boxes.

For Kubrick / Be@rbrick fans we actually have a TON of rare figures that are going up on the site soon along with more sets (Disney, Star Wars, Special forces, etc).

We're also waiting on a huge shipment of Kaiju - Marusan especially! There should be some choice items showing up soon

I miss Kubrick World dearly. It was my gateway into toy collecting. The Be@rbrick I won on your site got me started on a collection now over 200 deep.

There is a lack of Kub/bear stuff online. I wish someone would start a new forum. The only one I'm aware of is mostly star wars collectors, which has its place, but its just not diverse enough to keep my interest. Good to see you getting back into stuff!

Thanks! Yeah, there were a ton of really great folks on KW.com, let alone the community that we all had. Which is what I'd love to see again!
