So having played nothing but NHL10 on my christmas gift PS3 for 5 months straight I'm kind of excited about getting a new game and this might be the one. I've played GTA 4 at a friends house before and was fascinated by the "anything goes" fun. It's like that but set basically in a Wild Bunch/Spaghetti Western, how amazing? Anyone else picking it up this week?

I want to give it a try since I love GTA.

yeah, although it's a loose sequel. GameStop has some deals with the PS3 version - some exclusive content and whatnot.

I'm looking forward to this - the game breaks away from many of the games as of late (i.e. space...shooters....space shooters).

I keep on hoping for a demo before buying though.

Ive got it preorder. Super super looking forward to this game as I loved Read dead revolver. This will be the first game Ive bought in over a year.

To be frank its nothing like the first except the setting from what my friends say and what ive seen gameplay wise its like gta but re wrapped in a cowboy western theme even the aiming system is the same and it uses the euphoria physics system which is awesome. I have to wait till friday

Im just hoping it still has the same gritty old western feel and music. I didnt realize it was an open world like GTA which has now gotten me even more excited about playing it.

From what i heard and have seen gameplay wise you will not be disappointed there are public hangings and you can choose to save ect all while roaming lots of hunting sidequests u can skin the animals also for trading at lodges for money bears mountain lions,buffalo loads of different species look wicked i cant wait till friday its killing me haha

We should just start a "What Video Games Are You Playing" thread if there isn't one. I'm too lazy to search and see now, but if there is that needs to get brought back to life, if not someone fire it up (or I will once I get home and feel like searching for old one's first.)

The Amazon pre-order codes are never instant, they put it in your account about 2 days after the game has shipped to you.

I also have this pre-ordered, anyone else getting it for the PS3? The online multiplayer looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

This game does look sereously impressive. I love the free roam aspect of the multiplayer!

Once alot of cats here get the game we need to get some SB posse's together. Hunts, death-matches, sounds like a blast! The free roam multi player feature is going to rule.

been looking forward to this for a while now and cant wait to start playing it, looks like it will stop me playing Skate 3 as getting a little bored of that after a few hours

there's some issues with the online play right now - people dropping, characters disappearing, etc.

so if you were holding off a couple days, don't sweat it haha
a patch will be forthcoming surely
