 Re: Terra Nova
Damn, I wished I watched it so I can discuss. I knew I was forgetting to do something today. What did you think Dean?

 Re: Terra Nova
toybotstudios wrote: LOST x Jurassic Park Totally, with a bit of Avatar thrown in, and a heavy dose of Spielbergian sappiness. Great eye candy in an L.A. sort of way, but ... man, the "family issues" element seems soooo contrived. The colony looks like a Disney resort. How is it that people from a deathly polluted future where a mere orange is a rare wonder and atmospheric oxygen is badly depleted manage to look all buff and shiny with product-ized boutique hair in the Cretaceous era? I dunno. Check it out if you're interested. It's "turn your brain off" fare. I'm going to try to stick with it for a few more episodes but I lost count of how many times I said "this is so stupid!" during the premiere. Biff wrote: John Locke is actually the T-Rex? Re: Terra Nova
Maybe they thought using CGI technology from the past would fit in with the theme of the show.

Dean wrote: "The Sixes" are "The Others." That's exactly what I thought! Show was ok but horrible CGI. The dinos look way too animated and it really takes away from the show. There was a lot of action in the first two hours though. I'll give one more viewing before I decide if its a show I will continue to watch.

 Re: Terra Nova
I was also thinking that the dinosaurs looked too mechanical and "Jurassic Park" in the sense of having been rendered back then. The dinos in their controversial brief sequence in "The Tree of Life" were much more believable. They looked like animals, not theme park monsters.
