Disagree. Pharrell is a great producer and musician. You might dislike pop music or hip hop, but I highly doubt people like Jay Z would hire him for production multiple times if he had no talent.
Of course, Jay Z is too popular for most people here I imagine. If he produced some indie snob band maybe he wouldn't be derided here.

Ed it's cool. Yeah I'm not a fan of pop music or hip hop after the mid nineties. To me music is special and has to strike a nerve and has nil to do with celebrity. I find most genres of music today rehashing/ stealing/sampling what came before it or people trying to be famous claiming to reinvent the wheel and I just see right through all that. But yeah to each their own, not trying to piss in the cornflakes.

I liked the KAWSxSimpsons mash ups, but the family guyx KAWS are just ass. Seriously it looks like someone stole his style and did it.

I like rap - even some Top 40 rap. But both Jay-Z and Pharrell can suck it. Jay-Z is one of the worst rappers I've ever heard, I don't know how he became so popular. And all Pharrell beats that I've heard sound kinda the same and are gimmicky. Currently there aren't any good "big names" in rap - when Kanye and Jay-Z are the best it's a sad state of affairs.
