That would be Cronos - neat twist on the vampire movie. Will directing Hellboy2 and Meg as well.

And Corman! Horror movie genius.

Pan's Labyrinth is what he was promoting. they came around with a camera while I was in line and asked if they could film me talking about Guillermo's work. I had to sign a release form and I might be on the website or DVD.

he also directed Mimic and The Devil's Backbone.

I also met the guy who played Leatherface's hitchhiking brother in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Edwin Neal. I've been trying to see him at conventions for years, but always miss him. he was pretty much a psycho just like the character.

I met him at a little horror film festival in Vancouver a couple years ago, and I got him to sign a TCM glossy, in German for some reason. I was so excited to meet him, he kept busting out lines form the movie it was great!

skylar, did you happen to meet bernie wrightson at all on thursday? he had almost zero people trying to get autographs. it was a shame considering he's (at least to me) a comic legend.

I'm kinda spoiled and have seen Bernie Wrightson several times since he's done a few Chiller conventions and other east coast stuff so I just breezed by his booth. awesome artist and cool guy though.

I know it's not the popular opinion, but meeting Roger Corman is INFINITELY cooler than meeting Pushead. sorry, but it's just true. sorry Pushead if you're reading this, or anyone affiliated with Pushead.

Pushead has created some legendary artwork for bands and some awesome toys over the years.

Roger Corman, however, has created LIFE CHANGING works of art like Death Race 2000, Rock n' Roll High School, and the entire Vincent Price/Poe cycle among countless others. I would not be who I am today without those films.

plus, I could probably have the chance to meet Pushead again some day, whereas who knows with RC. not to be morbid or anything, but Mr. Corman is a lot older than Mr. Pus.

alright, I'm sure by now you're all like "shut the fuck up about directors and talk about Obakes or something!"

sorry

dude, meeting Forry Ackerman was like a dream come true. he doesn't really make it out of CA anymore because of his health, so I never thought I would meet him.

and not to sound like a total wuss or anything, but I got my picture with him and he put his hand on mine and it was like the most gentle thing ever and I just couldn't believe what a sweet guy he was. it's totally awesome that he still makes it out to the convention.

he's a hero to us all

That's cool! I am glad he is still going strong after all these years! Met him about ten years ago and he was the nicest person to talk to. Like you were the only person in the room. He gives you his full attention no matter how much of a nut job you are! Class act!

they gave me his business card and told me that he still gives tours of his mansion by appointment.

if I try to head back out to CA in early fall, I'm definitely going to try to set something up.

Man, I wanted to meet Corman, I missed that one! I met Stan Lee, Tim Biskup, Gary Baseman, Jermaine Rogers, the Gargamel team, Hiddy and SB team. Mark from Max Toys, Brian at S7 and Isaac. I saw Quentin Tarantino in the lobby of my hotel, thats where I met Biskup and Baseman they were both really cool, David Horvath and Sun min are so nice its crazy. It was nice to meet Jermaine face to face after talking to him via email and phone. Had to hassle Huck a bit! :D Kozik is always cool very friendly! Oh yeah and Paul Kaiju! It was nice to meet you, very cool guy! I stood in the Pushead line with a super cool guy, he made the wait go by much faster, his name was Adam Talbot, I think? He does the stoopid monkey at the end of Robot Chicken as well as a few voices. Totally wish him the best of luck with Sony and hope his boys saved him a few beers at the hotel pool!

I saw Corman, Forrey, Elvira and Basil Gogos. I was a little bummed there was no talk about Rock'n'Roll High School at the Corman thing. God, I hope Tom Cruise doesn't do Death Race 3000.
