Post iPhone apps for toys/collections?
I've been looking for something for awhile and thought you guys might know something that would work.

I have lots of toy lists of toys with photos for shopping/toy shows/antique shows etc.

Does anyone know a good app for lists organizing (with photos) for the iPhone? alternately, do you know of a good spreadsheet app that supports photos that I could just transfer the lists to? Thanks!

I haven't seen anything either, but the OCD in me would love to see a thread with collection checklists or links. I have seen one for the Rainbow figures, but it could be cool to do a whole database through SB or something else online (which you could then access via your mobile)

I just need a good app to view spreadsheets/excel files, since I already have a bunch of lists made up, including some for things other than toys (records, movies, etc.)

However, the reviews for a lot of spreadsheet apps seem to be pretty bad. Anyone know of any good ones?

Well I'm sure that SOMEONE makes a decent app. I mean, they make Windows for a Mac now so....

I actually have Toy Feed. That's not quite what I'm looking for here, though.

there is a free app for the old Hasbro GI Joe line you can also check out for ideas. Not sure how computer savvy anyone is, but if something like this is already set up, it shouldn't be too difficult to modify.

I like how Skylar totally blew my cover in asking for his benefit. :)

Hey, I didn't ask you to post about it. You did that of your own accord before I had a chance to.

How about an app that alerts you when you are in the vicinity of a toy shop or a particular kind of toy shop?

Not sure I would want to spend time and effort putting data into a phone-based app if I couldn't get the data out via some backup process. Do any of the suggested apps do that?

What about setting up a spreadsheet in Google Docs? You could access it via the phone or any other device, and the spreadsheet now does more fancy stuff like filtering. Plus you can export the data.

Well, I could do that, I suppose, but some of my lists are already set up as documents, so I was trying to find something that I wouldn't have to recreate them from scratch.

Roger, what's the concern with not being able to get the data out? It won't really be changing on the phone.

It's basically more of a have's vs. need's type scenario with the documents. Perhaps some photos for identification purposes.

Ah, I thought the idea was to use the phone as an input/storage device. Like I said, if that was the case I wouldn't want to use an app that didn't allow me to back things up. I don't like to waste my time creating data that can't be recovered somehow.

I think the simple solution is to use Google Apps and from there make PDFs that you store on your phone, but your mileage may vary.
