 Rotofugi security breach
Soooooo. Were all clients affected? Did it target Rotofugi in particular or was it something else? Anything to worry about yet?

 Re: Rotofugi security breach
It did not affect all of our customers, just those that placed an order during a certain date range. And unfortunately it didn't affect just us, but a large number of stores that all use the same software we use.
Since you did receive the email....I urge you to contact your card company and alert them and/or have your card replaced.
We're working with the software developers and federal authorities now to not only secure information (which is already done) but also to assist in catching the perpetrators.
Hackers suck, and I'm sorry you were affected. If there is anything we can do, please email me.

 Re: Rotofugi security breach
Thanks for the info. Can you tell us when the breach was perpetrated? What was the software in cause?

No e-mail = no problem, right?

 Re: Rotofugi security breach
Thanks for mentioning this, petitetoilonrouge, because my email went to right to the spam folder. I had no idea until I read this. I hope the Feds catch the creeps very soon.

 Re: Rotofugi security breach
The dates affected are 7/4/11 through 8/24/11. If you didn't place an order on our site, and use a credit card, during that time frame you should be good.
I don't want to get into technical details, but hackers (with IP addresses that resolve to Vietnam) attacked several stores that use the same software we use. The vulnerability was a combination of our store software (Productcart) and Microsoft Server 2003, specifically IIS6.
The Productcart developers were very quick to react once the problem was known, so I don't want to sling any dirt at them. They've been very pro-active in working with everyone affected.
Being hacked sucks....but I feel even worse for our customers who've been affected.

 Re: Rotofugi security breach
I had irregular activity on my credit card last week, and was contacted by my bank about $500 worth of fraudulent charges. They have cleared it up and everything is fine, just wanted folks on the board to know.
