I would agree that this is a pretty unusual match-up. And it seems pretty clear what the consensus is. Unfortunately, out side of the EU, we've never really seen Fett do anything; whereas Batman has a huge history from any number of sources to reference. He [Boba] has really just achieved cult status as a result of his aesthetic, combined with the mystery portrayed in the film (though this could equally be said of any of the bounty hunters from Empire). Maybe because of being the 'preview' figure in the Kenner line? I don't know.

Anyways, they both have armor [of sorts] and weapons; in hand-to-hand and gadgetry, it seems likely Batman would take it (given the question surround Fett's skills), but I am gonna stand up for Fett on this one, since he is getting little love. As the man said, "no match for a good blaster at you side kid."

The idea of fett beating Batman is absurd. I mean Batman has fought and beaten and outsmarted superman who has the powerset of god practically. Not only that but he has routinely proven that the odds can not be stacked to high for him. Look I love star wars but I want it noted that I am not by any means a Batman fan this is just based off years of comic book reading in both universes. That said fett still has the Corvette

It's not about love or standing up for Fett. He WAS a great character until Lucas made him a fucking clone of Jango Fett. "Jango" Fett was a useless character. The only thing he had going was that he LOOKED like Boba Fett.

In the 80's Boba fett was awesome. His armor had history and he seemed like a complete badass. What limited time he had onscreen in ESB made him even more kickass. However, that changed when the prequels came out. Ever since...I just can't look at him the same.
Prior to the bastardization..he was pretty mysterious and I loved him but Lucas ruined it.

I dunno, I've never had the Fett infatuation as my other friends. He LOOKS cool and I get the mystery but even in Empire he doesn't do much but talk some shit and nod. OK, he hides in the garbage to track Solo, whatever, what else does he do? Nothing. Again, I don't count expanded universe crap, only the movies.

While i agree with you that the idea is stupid because it was the beginning of the decline of batman as a believable human character it has happened and when you stack that against slipping into the sarlac pit... Fett isn't exactly looking likes good horse to bet on.

what everyone forgets about Fett falling into the pit by getting hit by a blind guy is Han was force attuned to having riddiculously good luck, he would have probably knocked batman into a vat of acid going to pick up a penny, also if I'm not mistaken extended universe is canon so all the ass kicking fett did in the comics CAN be compared to the ass kicking batman did in the comics
