Devils are in! Lovin me some hockey!

Really, the Oilers again? :| Not that they don't deserve it, and I am all for the proposed evening out the draft lottery provides.... in theory. But the draft is essentially slightly better odds than most carnival games, so I am not saying it necessarily amounts to all the much either. Still, since this was hardly a banner year for my team, I will still be hoping for a lucky pick. Now that is hypocrisy! :D Only in sports can we be so fickle.

On with the playoffs!

Stats-wise, 3rd picks have better odds of becoming superstars.

I actually have no idea. But that's what I like to believe. This said, I was Nordiques fan for years, and getting top picks didn't get them anything... until they moved to Colorado.

Definitely. Goon was an entertaining flick.

I'm glued to the computer now watching Pens vs Flyers and NOT too happy with what I'm seeing.

Re: The good ol' hockey game

I am very happy with what i see.

Okay I'm going to take back the previous statement. Why can't the Pens play defense?

Ok now I'm happy with what I'm seeing.....

Go Avs! Oh wait, they didn't make it. Go Ducks! Damn, they didn't make it either. Guess I got to cheer for the Kings.

Speaking of the Kings, the goal by Vancouver should have been disallowed.

And the guy who sang the Star-Spangled Banner before the game should be shot.

hey, that was filmed here in Winnipeg. I didn't know it was big anywhere else.
haven't seen it though... it's a comedy?

Wow, I just saw the highlights from the Pens-Flyers game. Pens got robbed. First Flyers goal was clearly offside. Pens should have won 3-2 in regulation. Guarantee that linesman won't work another game this playoffs.

It's a comedy. I'm gonna try to catch it. Hopefully I'm not too late.
Webber should be gone for the rest of the play-offs for what he did. I'm not a fan of either team but what he did...you can't say there was no malicious intent.
Flyers vs Pens...great come back...and yeah, Danny was off sides.

Go Sharks!! :(

They're not showing the blown icing call that resulted in the Pens' third goal in the highlights, though.

Guess it worked out right in the end.

I agree with Bert, saw the Weber highlight. Slamming Zetterberg's head into the glass after you already have the game wrapped up?! WTF! Shannie's definitely going to hand down at least a one game suspension.

The Pens have to be suffering from deja vu right now. The Flyers just did this to them a week ago coming back from a 2-0 deficit. Now they came back from 3-0. Pens look like they like to just stand around and admire their lead. I think Bryzgalov just had his nerves going in the first. If the Flyers actually come out hitting next game, they'll go up 2-0 in the series.

Me I'm looking forward to the Bruins beating the young Washington goalie like a rented mule tonight!

Wow...Weber got away with just a fine.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/shea-weber-predators-fined-zetterberg-head-slam-shanahan-174039330.html

Shanny says:
"The standard of what is illegal or legal doesn't change. ... When you suspend a player during the regular season, you're suspending him over 82 games," Shanahan said at the time. "[In the playoffs], you're looking at things in seven-game clumps. It's a seven-game season each series."

Too bad Bertuzzi has that stigma working against him, because I'd if I were the Redwing coach I'd have him board Weber hard the very next game. Seriously though, just a meager fine? That's twice this season he got off the hook.

This is bs. If it warrants a suspension during the regular season, it should be warranted during the playoffs as well.

Apparently Mike Babcock and me have a psychic mind link. Bertuzzi fought Weber in the first period of game 2

Pens fans don't feel comfortable with your 3-1 lead.

Re: The good ol' hockey game

I'm going to do some friendly jabs at Pens fans here

For the Pens to win this series they need to play all 7 games on the road!
For the Pens to win this series they need to only have the first half of the first period count!
How's your goaltender working out for you? He should be renamed Marc Andre Blurry.....

Now for some facts:

Flyers have NEVER lost a playoff series EVER after going up 2-0
19 yr old rookie Sean Couturier OWNED Malkin tonight
Pens outscored 7-2 in the 2nd & 3rd periods.

Goodnight Pittsburgh Penguins....
