Re: The good ol' hockey game
I never thought I'd say this, but the Flyers are great to watch. I do hope they keep going on...

Re: The good ol' hockey game
Flyers have been pretty exciting this season...cept for that one time when they were standing in their D zone for about a couple of minutes sometime mid-season. I'm glad Pronger isn't playing. I honestly believe the Flyers would not do as well with him actively in the line up.

That was the game when Tampa was playing their thrilling 1-3-1 trap.

Crap the Bruins lost. Hats off to the Caps BUT McQuaid & Horton not injured and playing, Bergeron being 100% and being able to take face off's (he was best in the league this season) this has a completely different outcome.

The one when ovechkin stole the puck right in front of net was ridiculous. Extremely happy the rangers won. I want a rangers/devils matchup next round so I can get tickets for a home and home with my friend (diehard devils fan) and ruin his whole summer already.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
Man what the hell is wrong with Bryzgalov? My mom could goal tend better than him! Flyers are really driving hard and granted Brodeur is being vintage Brodeur but come on? He practically put one in himself. Flyers pushing means nothing with that scrub of a goaltender. What a waste of money.
I can't stand the Devils or Rangers. I really hate the Rangers. They totally got lucky last night. Out west two lame ass teams...This post season is sucking.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
It's nice to see new teams in the playoffs in the west. The Devils are a disciplined team unlike the Flyers(or Pens for that matter). It is good to see that kind of team to move on. The Rangers on the other hand... Now that my team is out I am just enjoying the sport if only everyone could do that.

So Phoenix Coyotes the new Vancouver Canucks this year? Dirty boarding head slams! I hope LA sweeps them.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
I think the first boarding could not be helped, it looked like Doan's momentum carried him into Lewis as Lewis turned his head towards the boards. The second boarding call on Hanzal was pretty dirty. Although I think Smith should have received a one game suspension, too, for his hit on Brown with his stick.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
Man do I loathe the Rangers. No other team beside the Pens can make me so mad. I really hate Callahan. For the life of me I don't know why some of the bigger Devils don't punish his ass. He's not that big. He plays big but he could easily be taken down a notch or two with some really hard checks. Prust is another one who thinks he's super tough.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
I'm still watching as a hockey fan even though I could care less about either team. I guess I'm kind of rooting for the Kings to make history with a 16-2 run as a 8th seed.

Re: The good ol' hockey game
The Kings scored immediately on a bogus boarding call. It didn't matter in the long run.
