Anyone get the new iPhone today?

I upgraded from a 3GS and loving it.

Having so much fun with Siri!

No 4s for me since I got the iphone 4 I'm not eligible for an upgrade. That is unless I want to spend $500 on one.

I'm happy with iOS 5

im on the same boat as kevlo, not due for an upgrade until next year. i love ios5 as well.

ios5 seems to be slowing everything down and eating more battery life. anyone else experiencing this? i'll be waiting for the 5 too.

I have noticed the battery life, but no other issues for me.

I'm gonna keep my 3gs til the 5 comes out. Was kinda dissapointed that there was no new visual specs. Most of the stuff besides siri that was released with the ios5 update can be used on my 3gs. IMO no need to update.

i doubt it will be called the "5" the 4 is called the 4 because it is the 4th gen... this 4s is the 5th gen... sooo... i got the 4 when it came out, and i have had an upgrade for 2 months? think ima sell my 4, and get my 4s with it!

Im just waiting to make sure the 5 is bigger, in which case I will get the 4S as I refuse to get any bigger then the 4 for a phone.

Finally took the iPhone plunge. Picked mine up today.
I already have an iMac and an iPad so sincing them suckas up together via iCloud will be great.

I upgraded from a 3G i got a few years ago to the 4S today, no Siri in Japan! I didnt even think about it not being on the Japanese iPhone. And another bummer, I cant send pictures with MMS with the carrier I changed to! The previous carrier I used had shit reception and I missed half my calls so I changed and I will not miss anymore calls, but I wont be getting nice surprise pictures of toys anymore.

I've still got my 4 for another year but am liking iOS5!

Anyone tried to look for some 'action'?
Or said 'Open the pod bay doors' yet?

O.K. I'm about to enter into the world of the iphone, and to be honest the phone I have now would barely pass as a dumb phone. What are your experiences with different phone companies, and what are the best choices for a provider, for services, and cost...?

Anyone else having problems where Safari lags like a mofo when typing?
Hard to reply to PMs on the phone now w/ the new OS since it's so bad.

i have a 3gs and the phone is a real sloth after ios5.

love the new notification system, but everything else lags. safari, sms, even swiping through the home screen.

hope they fix it in the next update.

I don't qualify for the upgrade, but I have customers who work for ATT, so I think I'm going to be getting a deal soon. There's nothing wrong with my 4, I just REALLY want that improved camera. My leica is a lot to drag around.

Yeah some of the photo's I see coming from iphones, are really good. For actual commercial and fine art photography use, I'll still stick with my D700 full frame, but for everyday photo's of me and the wife playing around town, the iphone seems ideal. I still really need to find a good provider though. I know google is my friend, but if anyone has a link of good provider reviews, I would really appreciate it. We really need to buy a phone soon, but neither of us want to end up signing a 2 year contract, and find out we get horrible service at home, or are snared up by overage fees, etc... Who do you use, and have you had good experience with them (anybody?)?

Ordered mine online from verizon and it shipped yesterday. Retailers were supposed to have them 10/28 but think that got pushed back to this coming friday 11/4
