Misfits was awesome this season. I'm kinda outta the loop on new shit. I'd like to know what other 'brainers are into currently.

 Re: UK Comedy Series
I had no idea there was a 6 episode (+ pilot) series based on Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels... I will be watching that this weekend.

 Re: UK Comedy Series
I watched three seasons of The IT Crowd, "the work outing" from season 2 and "are we not men" from season 3 were probably my favorite episodes.

Spaced... Took me a few episodes to get into it (I expected sci-fi!) but once I did...

 Re: UK Comedy Series
I've yet to check out Snuff Box, but the rest of the above are all gold, BD! I'd add Time Trumpet, In the Loop and Black Books to the list of essential, and I can't believe that nobody mentioned Look Around You yet!
The New Years day episode of Sherlock was crazy good - can't wait for tonights!

 Re: UK Comedy Series
Snuff Box is great BUT I'll add a warning of "not for everyone" to that. I can see how some wouldn't be into it, even those in to these guys past work etc. Just an odd feel, but very awesome and fun. I can't get the theme out of my head though, these 2 guys are really in their element with the whole show and it goes to some really great places comedy-wise once you embrace it.
I haven't watched the new Sherlock season yet (aka the 1st episode.) I plan on it tonight.

 Re: UK Comedy Series
The rest of the Garth Marenghi's Darkplace crew deserve mention by name, too (not least of which because they wrote it!) --- Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade. Along with Berry you can pretty much trust anything they touch! Berry and Ayoade did an AMAZING fake lost TV special that's totally worth hunting down: AD/BC: A Rock OperaA correction - when I mentioned In the Loop (also awesome, but a film ) I meant to say The Thick of It. All hail Armando Iannucci!

Peep Show and Mitchell and Webb look. I love both of these series (same guys) and they stream on Hulu and Netflix.

AD/BC is hilarious. Also, The Day Today starring Chris Morris (the senior Renholm on The IT Crowd) is great. Fans of Steve Coogan should also check out Saxondale and I'm Alan Partridge. Nevermind the Buzzcocks is a comedy panel show that is usually good for a few laughs.

 Re: UK Comedy Series
cool, all great shows u guys, I think I've seen everything mentioned w the exception of several things in the list below that I'll have to check out. Actually, there's a lot of stuff in that list I've never heard of. Very exciting, I think discovering new British comedies is one of my favorite things. Ooh, I didn't see any mention of Nighty Night! That show is awesome, everyone on this thread should probably like it based off the other shows mentioned. The Moog wrote: My most favourite UK Comedy shows EVER In no particular order . . . . Like a British American Pie at Benidorm, which is another pretty funny one I forgot & the Inbetweeners has one of the guys from Friday Night Dinner (which is also really good & has Mark Heap from spaced/big train/greenwing etc... oh yeah, Greenwing too. Never ending.... Oh & shit all the Chris Morris stuff is great. I can't remember if it was the day today or brass eye that did the Paedogeddon Special http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9031532194656768989

Since Nathan Barley, Mighty Boosh, and IT Crowd were already mentioned among others, only thing I can think of that wasn't is Charlie Brooker.
