The thing is, Trump does not honestly believe all the hate he is spewing on immigration. He is using people to get the desired result. It is disingenuous at best and violent at its worst.

The same with Bernie at the opposite end of the emotional spectrum, albeit in a more genuine, statesman-like manner. Bernie has been in politics long enough to know there is not a snowball's chance in hell for much of what he is proposing. He is tapping into the naivete and idealism of young voters. I know, I used to get out the vote in college for local dems and contributed significantly to town council and county commissioner campaigns.

That's why I hate politics and think it's ludicrous that folks eat all of this stuff up. People listening to the lies they want to hear. That is politics in a nutshell. Realism doesn't sell. Everyone knows this.

If you want to make this country better, best go do it yourself.

And don't drop a friend just because their political beliefs may differ a little from yours. You are only feeding the monster.
