Post Ok guys. It's been a longggg time...
Hey :)

I used to frequent this forum some time ago, stopped collecting toys for a while czzz $$$ and such, but now...

NOW.

I'M GOING TO TOKYO. and i've spent the last month getting all excited again over everything, finally seeing Secret Base, Gargamel and such.

I need your help to get back up to speed, about what i shouldn't miss, what releases are coming out, where i can go to find more information. i want to finally spend the kind of money on toys i've always dreamed of.

May 22nd - June 8th. what shouldn't i miss.

thanks, really cool to be back on here..

D

Congrats on your forthcoming trip . . . I hope you have a blast.
I'm hoping to visit Japan again myself in a year or two :)

My one piece of advice is to visit the 'Kaiju Korner' blog for maps and directions to most of the key places in Tokyo (for toy-collectors).
Andy has done a great job on this resource . . . . .

Unfortunately, thrash out closed down a few months ago. Kiyoka relocated, but i don't think there is any sort of store front established (at least not yet).

damn thats a shame. secret base is still there though right? i guess i was just thinking maybe there'd be some particularly interesting releases i could pick up while I'm there? or shows where i can pick up a couple of customs.

those maps are brilliant! i used to frequent kaiju corner.

nobody any hints?

thanks again :)

Check out Kaiju Korners toy store maps. Probably the best resource out there.

the Toyko Underground book 2 by super 7 is a great resource, unfortunately a lot of the shops have moved or closed.
