I'm pretty excited for this. All i have ever seen is a scattering of episodes and the oh-so-terrible australia version.

my recommendation would be for anyone who wants it to buy it ASAP, because I've heard rumors it might not be on shelves too long due to lots of controversy behind the rights to release it and how they were obtained. could be just a rumor, but you never know.

Been waiting for this one! Just ordered it along w/ an 'Inframan' DVD to replace my crappy 'public domain' VHS version. (Gotta love that one, with Princess Dragon-Mom & all!)

Has anyone else experienced problems with the dubbing on there Ultraman set? After episode 5 the dubbing goes haywire on mine. It switches back and forth between english and japanese.

I have this DVD set.

If my childhood memory is correct, these episodes are the exact same versions that originally aired in America and, sometimes, the dubbing did go back and forth between English and Japanese in an episode or two (or three).

I have been watching mine as I can, little by little. I've had no problems with the audiotracks or subs, but overall, the video quality ain't so hot. The framerate gets choppy here & there and pixelation occurs during fast motion. Looks like it was ripped from a VCD. But, the price is about as as cheap as a bootleg (do not pay retail) &, unless you want to dump alot of cash for a Japanese DVD (and have an all region player), it's about all there is. It's still fun to watch, but a 'home theatre' person would probably get all bent out of shape about the quality.
