Was talking to Brandon earlier this week, his SF 67 vid should be up this weekend!

Very nice VAG Series videos posted at sofvi. tokyo YouTube channel. I wish those videos had English subtitles... But it is a good opportunity to see the artists we love speaking about their toys.

Those videos are great, especially "Godzilla Training"

Not what you'd normally see on SB but this 15 minute doco on Vice about the secret history of CPK was a really good watch

^ the Godzilla training rules!

That was a great video - lots of footage of live art, some toy painting and coverage of many displays throughout the show. Cool music as well :)

Another Great Tokyotoyfiend video!

Hope you don't mind that I moved it here to the toy video thread too. Really good stuff.

Thanks for putting it up.

Now that's what I call an excellent documentation of the sofubi process!

On a side note, Haroshi has his own vinyl setup?

All that time, effort and work to produce a hand with a middle finger? Cool. There truly is something for everyone.

The dog head is great but that?

Surprised no one has posted this toy video (click on the CC button to get subtitles):

Interesting interview with Mori of Real Head. Early on he talks about the gradual shift in the last 10 years from toy geeks to people more into collecting for the fashionability of the toys.

Aha! So that's why I feel like a fish out of water on SB these days. Toy geeks are going or gone (kidding I knew this already) Still it's great watching the older gentleman paint the toys and enjoying it still 60 years on.

The video was so good that we made a whole thread for it here

Found this old video of somebody's toy shelves from 1993?? Some good vintage stuff in there...

No no (hopefully I picked the right font colour for that) it's just a little video I made of my current collection setup.

This guy has a whole bunch of 2 minute reviews of some great toys - here's one featuring a look at the crawling Hedo including what looks to be an original IKB in bag?? Great close up look at both sides of the header card.

thanks for posting! I have been looking for good pics of the back of that header for so long!

^ My thanks too! Those IKB videos seem downright magical...

No problem - I don' know how I managed to stumble across them but I'm glad that I did!

Gives me an idea though - I reckon one of the more knowledgeable members of SB should make some similar review style videos with some of their fav pieces. Carl, Brian I'm looking at you guys!! Any member could do it actually - photos are great but seeing some of these toys in motion really helps bring a sense of what the sculpt is like. There are a lot of toys that I'm sure most of us will never get to own so vids like this are really great :)

^ Seconded! Seeing vintage rarities at 360°, what could be better. :D

On another note, here is a video on the mandarake process. It's a quite bit larger and more organized than I had imagined. Not exactly about toys, but everyone shops there so I guess it's allowed.

^ Bestest waste of time that I've laid eyes on in ages. Hard to pick a favorite moment, but it might be the gravy-spoot shot towards the end.

Definitely superb! :D Oh how I wish I could do justice to my Ultra re-enactments with such quality toy videos. I love the passion and fun of fellow Ultra fans. It is hard to highlight a particular moment, there is a helluva lot of great scenes packed into a very short minute and a half. I would probably have to go with the crystal refraction effect. Love it! Thanks for sharing Rei.
