So I just stumbled upon this documentary about the actors that play the monsters in some of the classic monster movies.
There seems to be some Haruo Nakajima stuff in it from what I can gather. Looks really interesting and I think I'm going to order it.
Anyone here seen it?

i feel like i've been exposed to bits and pieces of that via other behind-the-scenes documentaries, but it would be great to see a whole film dedicated to the art and craft of acting in rubber suits. nice find!

This looks really cool, I would definitely give it a watch. It would be interesting if they do have some stories/histories to tell. Unfortunately I imagine so many of the classic actors are probably not part of it, and am [if slightly] less interested in the newer stuff.

Also, not rubber, but how come these guys get no respect?

Thanks for the heads-up. I dug around and saw that this movie began life as a (successful) Kickstarter proposal. It's available from Amazon for $20. Unfortunately not on Netfilx or iTunes but what the heck, $20 to buy a cool documentary like this should be a drop in the bucket for folks who pay ten times that for vinyl dollies.
