Super coverage of Super Festival! Thanks for keeping us fans overseas in the loop. Some really great toys for sale this SF, makes me glad I wasn't there... I'm pretty sure I would have drained my savings.

Can't even tell you how many lewd acts I'd commit to get my hands on one of those Kaijuken Glow Shine Aliens (The eyeless scaly guy with horns from Silver Mask for those who do not know). Anyone that went, was it a super limited item?

Andy, I would like to thank you for continuing to offer us such comprehrensive and completeley selfess coverage. Most of us on the board will not have any chance to attend these events, and we sincerely appreciate your effort in bringing a little piece of them to us all. It perhaps goes without saying we are thankful for KK, but that also doens't mean it should go unsaid. Thank you, Andy. Superb coverage as always.

Another great SF by all appearances, and one with particular strength in toy showings it seems. While I naturally tend towards Bullmark/M1/Marusan type stuff, some obvious highlights include the Ilu Ilu (not that that it needs anyone championing it, or any more hype) and the Shikaruna Cyborg 009 figures. The FiveStar Nostalgic series always gets me excited. Nice to see some Yamanaya presence there as well. That 'combiner' catcha machine definitely caught my eye; did you [or anyone] pick some up to build the robot? I would definitely like to see some more shots of the Phantom Creeps toy as well. It looks like a really interesting sculpt, the details are just not too visible from a distance given the vinyl marbling.

Hear Hear! Very well put.

It would be a miracle for me to ever attend any toy event, and Andy puts me there the closest I'll ever get.

And ONLY because I know this's gonna pull in a response from those who have nothing better to do than look for negative things to write like, "Really?! A miracle?! Come the fuck on and shut up." - the last time I traveled anywhere, I was strapped to a board and flown medical transport...

That there at the top, that's me. And really just a side effect of other health issues.

Few on here may be able to understand it from this point of view (I know some that will), but Andy's coverage is one of the most precious things to me and I value his efforts and work dearly. Even if he can't help me out with toys :P

Can we end the circle jerk now and actually talk about the toys or is this another thank you thread I've stumbled onto?

Pics are appreciated, but enough of the redundant praise. Andy knows I hope already. We have been thanking him for years.

I don't know anything about Enigma, but Mitari is close with Gargamel, so maybe you can dig into that channel and see if there's a way to order online.

^^^ ooooh, snarky.

OK - toys, toys . . .

These really stood out for me. I've never heard of Aimodo - are they a relatively new maker?
One to watch methinks.

I didn't get anything from gacha machines. It was fun to see the Gargamel samples up close. Nice concept and execution.

And thanks for the positive comments, all. The show turned out to be far more extensive than usual, and I wound up taking something like 600 photos before selecting, organizing, and editing them (which is one reason it took so long).

Fairly. They were at the previous SF. They actually have a shop (selling various indie toys and other stuff) in Nakano - not in Broadway - it's out near the train tracks, between Nakano and Koenji. Not sure about the address. Info might be Googleable.

Seems like these two new releases were attracting a lot of attention at the show as well.. Fucking Four Fingers is rad but I want to wait for a different colourway.. The GEEK! (is it GEEK! ?) giant green guy is so good. Apparently it was just a preview sample at the show.

Was just trying to dig up info, but struck out. I like those little blobby guys. And those customs are all quite nice.
