 Guardians of the Galaxy
I have had my hopes up since this was anounced. The trailer is out and my expectations went through the roof. This looks soooo much fun. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTZ2Tp9yXyMThis could be the funny space opera we all have been waiting for. They can cancel their silly attempt to revive star wars right now.

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
I have very little interest in superheroes or their movies, but since The Avengers I've been aware that Marvel know just what they're doing. This is on another level, looks so much fun, so glad that it's been committed to and seems to be getting the treatment it deserves.

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
I was already excited about this movie, but that has to be the best damn movie trailer to come out in a long time!

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
This was my favorite comic book for some time, and it looks like it's going to be a good movie. Except for star lord, looks like the characters kept their paper counter parts physique (Curious to see what Ronan looks like, not sure if Lee PAce was the right choice). I'm interested to see what the story is going to be like, it'll give place for a sequel for sure.

...i had no idea about this film! Looks damn great.
And good to see Marvel making a movie about a lesser known property.

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
The preview was ok. I just read something from the director that explained the trailer and it actually made me appreciate it more. (Director loves Raiders of the Ark, the music and walkman were not meant as a joke but a nod to Starlord's past etc.)
However what scares me most about this is the director. I hope this doesn't turn into Green Lantern.

Giving the job to James Gunn seemed to be a bold move but Slither and Super were awesome and the humor pretty unique and I think it takes someone who is a little unconventional to do this movie. The only thing I wondered was whether he would be able to handle the special effects side of it. Looks like I do not need to worry. Oh, also, this is what I want movie trailers to be like - I do not want to see the whole movie in 2 minutes. Get me interested. This trailer really got me excited. Can't wait!

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
Kinda wish the producers went a different direction with Drax the Destroyer. I suppose Bautista is a fitting choice, but CGI would have been better than a live actor, if one was to portray Drax in his true glory... Yes Drax's noggin is comically small compared to his body, but that was the point: he is a dim-witted brute. That said, I'm still very excited for this film. I'm equally curious how it will fare at the box office, considering the non conventional cast of characters...

 Re: Guardians of the Galaxy
Ugh! I'm so tired of CGI being used for everything. I appreciate that at least for this they went with the real thing. Bautista characterization is based from the more recent Drax, which he actually looks exactly the same.
