bah, had glass in my pocket that pushed a corner of my phone and cracked it. It still responds perfectly but the digitizer does not separate from the screen making replacement expensive.

For example they are going for around 250 out of China right now.

Anyone oversees or into phone repair who can help me locate a replacement kit for the nexus 6 for cheaper?

Here in the states, we have kiosks in just about every mall where they can just swap out the front glass piece for right around 75 bux. I've had to have it done several times from breaking my phone at work. It works well. Also you can get screen protectors on eBay for about 3 bux that are made out of tempered glass. That will help prevent future cracks. Hope this helps.

Yes I think i'll get a screen protector to smooth it over and stop further glass breaks, but still makes it shitty for watching movies in bed :/


I did look into replacing the glass and it is cheap for other phones. Unfortunately, the nexus 6 digitizer is fused to the screen with some adhesive. People have taken it off using a heat source, but apparently it's so delicate you need a machine to lay it back on the screen perfectly so it doesn't bubble or wrinkle with new adhesive to the new screen you have bought.

So the only other option is a expensive Screen + digitizer kit that's going for 245-250 on ebay. I was hoping that was the front of the store price and that some savvy tech people might know where to get it for 125-150 or something more reasonable :/ waaaa my beautiful phone.
