 RIP Al Feldstein
Al Feldstein was drawing monsters from his imagination before Godzilla came to screen. He died today. Here is some of his work: and so much more with his work at EC Comics and Mad Magazine.

 Re: RIP Al Feldstein
It was yesterday actually, but sad day nonetheless. He deserves to be recognized with the likes Kirby, Wally Wood and others for helping comics become what they are today.

 Re: RIP Al Feldstein
Always sad when an artist can no longer create new work..
The first painting looks to use similar techniques to Al Jaffee's artwork (no wonder as I'm sure they spent many years working in the same office).. the style of shading, highlights.. would be great to track down a step by step of how these guys painted pictures. Really makes the details pop off the page!
