Fine dining meets kaiju with Calamityware
These definitely deserve some press. We even put a few on our wedding registry. They are great for me because my wife hates my vinyl collection, so I have to work hard for common ground when it comes to house decor to represent my monster obsession. http://calamityware.com/

Might be the finest middle-ground that I've ever seen! I'm sorry to hear that your bride holds traditional opinions about grown men loving plastic dollies and archaic children's programming, but those fire-hewn beauties can only help to bridge that gap. Suitable, even, for the in-laws!

Thanks for sharing that! Congratulations on the engagement I like the giant robot. A nice take on the old traditional willow ware pattern. Too bad they don't make a complete place setting

Right you are D. Suitable for in-laws, indeed!
And thanks Grace! We actually got hitched a few weeks ago.

Those plates are awesome. I'd like to get a set, but my compulsive side requires me to wait until there are a tidy set of at least four available.
Belated congrats on your wedding!

^ You could always just grab 2 or each; supper for 6! Or just wait until this one actually exists:

Re: Fine dining meets kaiju with Calamityware
These are pretty cool, thanks for sharing them! I would like to see a bit more variation in the patterns, and maybe some more subtle/yet overt (haha, does that even make sense?) monsters included; but what a fantastic idea. Congrats on the partnership Michael!

Re: Fine dining meets kaiju with Calamityware
Thanks Sokko and Ultra, much appreciated. Agreed, a little more variation in pattern would be nice. The sea monster is my fave, it is the most IN YO FACE design (and because sea monsters are, in fact, the best monsters around ). FYI if you buy within the Kickstarter campaigns you can pick up multiple dishes on the cheap, but only of the design they are hawking at the time. Kickstarter campaigns have been well funded, picking up around 100 grand per dish design.

No doubt these are amusing, but too close to Charlie Krafft's Disasterware series... even if he is a racist bigot. The work still speaks loudly
