Post Help With A Vacation Rental?
I know this is a huge longshot, but we're in a crunch and I figured I'll post this wherever I can:

We're selling our house and moving the family over to the other coast of Florida for work, and we found a place to live in Melbourne after MUCH deliberation and searching, but it's not going to be available until July 1st. In the meantime, we're thinking about finding a vacation rental / timeshare / furnished short-term rental where we could stay for 10 days. We're checking out VRBO and Airbnb, but does anyone have any connections that might help us to find something in Tampa, Melbourne, or even Orlando?

I don't have any connections in Florida James, but ten days isn't so long. Do I take it you won't have most of your things with you in this time or will you? I would suggest a family camp out, if that is logistically feasible. Great times (for me anyways) and something you will probably always remember later on. It is not for everyone I know, but you don't exactly have to rough it either. You can probably even find rental trailers in the area. Get 'em started young and they might just enjoy the outdoors for life. :) Good luck with the move James, and congrats [to whomever] on the new job. It is always a hectic and stressful time, so take some peace when you can.
