Kinda surprised no one here has brought this series up, considering American Horror Story was decently talked about here. Unless, of course, no one here has been watching it. Right now, the series is on The People vs O.J. Simpson, and it's great. I was only nine when the verdict was read, and the only thing I witnessed was the Bronco chase, though I had no idea what was going on.
Anyway, really, really loving this series. Before its first aired episode it was written that there would be a lot of details and facts that weren't made public to the media or the courts put into the series. I'm pretty curious/excited about researching what those are when the series is finished up to compare/contrast. Travolta and Vance as Shapiro and Cochran are represented pretty damn well, too. I'm impressed with Gooding Jr's acting, as always, but I don't see him visually doing O.J. and justice.
Pretty excited to see what other cases they bring into making seasons out of.

It's pretty crazy getting to re-live something that happened over twenty years ago. I was in 6th-7th grade from bronco chase to verdict. I just remember it always being on tv and my teachers always having it on their classroom tvs especially when the verdict was read. The show has been really interesting, makes me want to read the book its based on. Cuba trips me out as an OJ but the rest of the cast is pretty damn spot on, even schwimmer as kardashian. I had no idea that its going to be an ongoing series that will cover other crimes, thats pretty cool. I'm interested what will follow this case.

Good call on Schwimmer, dude. I kinda forgot about him 'cause his role was so minimal in tonight's episode. But he's pretty damn good, too. What I like most about the series so far is I feel like I can almost tell what wasn't made public regarding the case throughout each episode.

The show is exceptionally well-cast, acted, written ... everything. As I recall l'affaire Simpson sometimes felt overly emphasized by the media at the time, but this fantastic dramatized revisitation rightly brings up all of the pertinent issues of celebrity worship and entitlement, race relations etc. not only in the context of the time, but also with relevance to the present. Not an easy trick to pull off, but the series is doing it with admirable finesse and subtlety. I love Travolta's oddly mannered performance of Shapiro ... the real-life man really was like that. IMHO this is THE series of the moment.

Really loving this show. They nailed the casting, and the writing is spot on. Plus I love when I can watch something on "regular" cable and hear some f-bombs!!

Made me forget I wasn't watching HBO or something. There's been a couple on Louie as well. I guess I have the maturity of a 13 year old, but for some reason I get a kick out of it. Last episode Travolta got to let one fly.

That's the kind of stuff I'm really hoping to find fact or fiction after that season is finished!
It looks as though they're makin' Robert K. O.J.'s biggest supporter/naive friend. His constant referral to O.J. as Juice, The Juice and Uncle Juice kinda shows that he's clinginging onto the public figure persona, and not the murdering abuser. But I'm unintuitive as shit, so I could be way off. Loved Robert K.'s monologue in the restaurant about fame, too. The irony.

Before this show I never thought I'd see a Kardashian showing compassion. Man, RobK truly loved OJ. But I wonder/hope they show him start to sway as the show/trial progresses. I was too young to remember anything about RobK before he passed. I truly wonder what his thoughts would be and how he has been painted in this show.

This week's episode was absolutely bananas. Reiterating that I was just a kid when this all happened, some of the shit that was said in the courtroom was so cringing.

Yeah I was also too young to notice how she was being treated during the trial. Felt bad for her after watching this episode. (I have to admit the "geri curl" comment made me laugh). As I watch each week, apart of me wishes I was older while the trial was happening!

I'm 3 episodes in and I love it... Right away I was like. Wait how did he get the truck back if it has blood shouldn't it be evidence? Didn't know about his friend buying the same exact truck because he was that obsessed with the juice... This is a show I have to watch with no interruptions. And this is why I'm on episode 3 lol.
