Italian slasher film who-dunnits with gorgeous starlets, groovy Scores and scenery, lots of J&B scotch, sex, violence and super sweet mod style. The three B's of Giallo as we refer to them on the silly little podcast I do are Boobs, Blood, and Black Gloves. My favorites are as follows.
The Case of the Bloody Iris (alt title "What are those strange drops of blood on Jennifer's Body")
5 Dolls for an August Moon
The Strange Vice of Mrs.Wardh
Anyone else enjoy a Giallo?

Re: Giallo Movies!
Yeah mate, I was obsessed with Giallo films but I've slowed down buying them nowadays. I've got most of the key titles and some lesser known ones.
I got into Giallo through Lucio Fulci and the Italian 'gut muncher' zombie genre. It doesn't matter that the dubbing and acting sucks sometimes, those guys were masters of film making. Its about mood, atmosphere and stunning photography. And the music is often cool, too . .
Edwige Fenech is a goddess of the screen, much in the same way Barbara Steele was. So striking in appearance they both became synonymous with the genres they worked in.
Some of the ones I've enjoyed the most:
Strange Vice Don't Torture a Duckling Blood and Black Lace Case of the Bloody Iris A Lizard in a Woman's Skin Short Night of the Glass Dolls Bay of Blood Profondo Rosso
I always thought 'Twitch of the Death Nerve' was one of the best film titles of all time. The funky 70's opening to 'Strip Nude for your Killer' is one of my favorite opening credits sequences, ever. I think blood and black lace is my fav. I've got a rare German DVD of it in a velvet slipcase.
There's plenty I haven't seen yet. I've always wondered about 'Death Laid an Egg' and 'Four Flies on Grey Velvet' for example . .

Shit yeah, giallo is awesome. I have a Malleus poster for Profundo Rosso framed in my master bedroom.
Have you seen "The Strange Color of your Body's Tears"? It is on Netflix.

Re: Giallo Movies!
No time for a proper post right now, but I thought I'd step in for a sec to let you know that I'm big on gialli, too. I loved Bava as a kid, although I don't think I knew a thing about his connection to any sort of movement at the time. Come my teens, Argento and Fulci were my true gateways. Been pretty obsessed ever since.
Moog - I dig your whole list, with A Lizard in a Woman's Skin in particular being one of my all time favorites. Questi's Death Laid an Egg is pretty fantastic, standing apart as particularly odd even for the genre. All his films are worth a look, actually.
Two quick things, BW -
o What's your podcast called? I'd love to give it a listen. EDIT: Answered my own question ~ http://www.cinemadiabolica.com
o You just need the code after the equals sign to embed a YouTube link:

Have you seen these? They are worth tracking down if you dont have them. For a small indie bit of publishing they are very well produced . . . . .

So, anyone ever build-up a Giallo movie in their head and when you finally watched it you were disappointed?
I remember being disappointed with 'All the Colors of the Dark'. I thought it was really boring. I wasn't very impressed by 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' either . . . .

Death walks on high heels. ESPECIALLY after watching Death Walks at Midnight. The LSD, the Spike glove, the Paul Williams lookalike. Great flick and then the namesake ended up being pretty dull.

After another search, it can be ordered somewhere else too. Here is a link with a bigger pic and a video showing the content of the deck :
PURRCHAAAASED! Thank you so much! I searched it as well and came up with nothing else but this is awesome. Edwige Fenech and Barbara Bouchet cards! Wheeee.. I wonder if there's an Anita Strindberg card?
EDIT: After 200 re-watches of the video there IS indeed an Anita Strinberg card. They only show one King and it's Argento. I sure hope Sergio Martino gets king status as well. lets see it'll probably be Argento, Martino, Bava, and... Lenzi? Maybe? I think Aldo Lado would be a better choice than Lenzi or Fulci for a Giallo deck but then I'm apparently the only person that liked Short Night of Glass Dolls.

Yeah it happens. Case of the Bloody Iris is without a doubt my favorite Giallo but lots of people dislike it. Whereas I feel like Four Flies on Grey Velvet is just so-so
