Krispy Cream rawks the nuts. Plus they're originally from the South.

What's your favorite flavors?

didn't they go bankrupt or something? we only have them in gas stations and stuff out here like pre-boxed. all the actual KK stores closed.

and that sucks because I really used to love to go in and get them when they were hot. I always wanted to stick my face under that glaze waterfall too.

They had some "no-no" profit reporting/accounting errors thing going on which hurt them alot...then the carb diet craze hit 'em hard. Plus those gross drinks they came up with (doughnut glaze in a cup) didn't sell...they're still going pretty strong here in the midwest though...

never heard of this. So I'm thinkin maybe certain items are regional and/or determined by the individual franchises...

I like the wilder flavors: blueberry sourdough, pumpkin, bavarian filled and chocolate covered...

Yeah they're gross...here is the descrip from their site:

"Our signature taste, which defines our Original Glazed doughnuts, is captured in a creamy, frozen blend. This drink is rich with just the right balance of flavor and sweetness. Add coffee and it’s like having our coffee and a glazed doughnut swirled in your cup!"

Oh barf - reading about Krispy Kremes is almost as bad as eating them! Seriously, my teeth hurt and my stomache feels like it's churning surgar.
I'm not a huge donut fan (or sugar fan, for that matter), but when I do get the urge nothing beats the donuts from Pike Market in Seattle - I know some Seattle people have to know what I'm talking about.
My favorite sugar source would have to be pies - cherry or rhubarb getting top marks (gotta be a little tart!).

If you can get a Jelly Donut from them before they inject the jelly, it's like a nice molten glazed donut cake...

Probably - never knew the name. Little place right in the market that makes mini-donuts and puts them in brown paper bags. The cinnamon/sugar are the BEST!

we don't have any good shit out here on the east coast. except pizza.

I knew where at least 3 locations for KK donut shops were and they all closed. now you have to get them in a box at the gas station. lame.

Yep, that's them. They're actually vegan donuts, which is like an oxymoron. But they're the best donuts I've ever had.

wait, I take that back. we have a small chain of local places in the Philly suburbs called Yum Yums Donuts that are awesome that I've been eating since I've been a kid and we would take trips to the Jersey shore.

they have the following awesome donuts:

Chocolate Thunder - chocolate iced with chocolate filling
White Lightning - vanilla iced with that super rich sugary white cream, not like puddingy boston creme

there also used to be some place called Michael's Donuts that had one called the Chocolate Square which was chocolate iced with vanilla AND chocolate filling. but that place went under. damn shame.

Philadelphia has a Dunkin Donuts about every 2 blocks, I swear. that's why we're one of the fattest cities in the country.
