 Iron Man Movie Just read that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Iron Man. Bet they just put him in armor so he couldn't spike his arm anymore.

I've been mulling this one over since I read about it last week.
He's a solid actor, that's for sure. Look at his part in "Good Night and Good Luck"...but the thing that I just can't see is that Stark (to me) has always been more of a presence. Downey Jr. can pull off weasel pretty solid, but someone who has a mix of snarky playboy and serious superhero? Hmm...
I'd almost prefer to see someone like Cillian Murphy in the role -- his portrail of Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow would be pretty similar to how I'd see Stark.
What I'm hoping is that it doesn't turn into the usual Marvel pap...ala Fantastic Four or the disaster 90% of "The Punisher" turned out to be.

I was on a Marvel forum and someone suggested the actor that plays jack in LOST would be a good choice, or Johnny Depp

iron man I would like to see Jason Lee as Tony Stark, he played the devil in Dogma, man is he so awesome. Tony if I remember correctly is suave yet cynical.
Tony stark is like Bruce wayne's money with a mouth like Green Arrow. That would be a dream.
