Post Chinese New Year - people got crunk in my neighborhood
I live in Chinatown in Philly. Today was Chinese New Year. My girlfriend and I took some pics of the festivities:

Image
they did a Lion Dance in the lobby of my building last night to bless the building and bring it good luck

Image
here's a big ass string of loud ass firecrackers right outside my front door

Image
they eat cabbage (and throw it around) because it symbolizes money and brings prosperity

Image
here's a pic from the parade today a few blocks over

Image
all the shop/restaurant owners put out their own strands of firecrackers. here's a dude putting out his huge stand, which subsequently...

Image
blew up real big and loud and awesome

I had lots of fun watching people dance in elaborate costumes and blow up very dangerous amounts of explosives in big crowds of people.

NOthin like that happens here in Texas.
