Zakka in China town. You'll find mostly an amazing selection of books but Toshi still had a decent selection of kaiju and other japanese toys when I was last there.

I'm going by memory but I think Zakka is on Grand Street (for some reason 157 Grand sticks in my mind). But google "zakka corp." and you should find them (they have a web site). If you're at all interested or appreciate beautiful books on design, pop culture, etc. - you will spend hours there b/c Toshi has an absolutely amazing selection of small print run, import titles that you just won't find anyplace else.
He used to have a lot larger selection of kaiju - including vintage pieces - but they just didn't sell that well (I always loaded up when I was in NYC) so he didn't restock as things sold. But he usually has at least one or two reference books on kaiju so that alone makes the trip worth it.
Have fun!
