yeah...shit like that does suck...i guess i cannot fault someone for buying with the intention to keep and not liking it after they get it but this sounds like buying it with the intention to re-sale...a pathetic move if you ask me...

Not that it excuses the flip, but I don't think these figs were part of the Lamour set. They were also released separately in Japan a while ago.

Damn! If this is in Japan, then it's only the figures which were released at Shinto Gangu. Crazy but I guess the limited quantities over there would cause a feeding frenzy. You have to remember that this was primarily a US release. Only a handful were sold at Mori's store without print and shirt. I wonder what a complete set would fetch over there.

yes.. but this is even worse..
he payed a lower JP yen retail value and still hiked the price beyond belief.
I feel regardless of where they are from, they dont deserve to be flipped.

if people stopped creating 15 page threads about toys that they would pay any amount of money for, the prices might be a little lower.
people here have been warned that the flippers read this board. you don't think people in japan pay those prices on yja do you? maybe occasionally for the uber rare piece, but the majority of the new stuff is all bought up by foriegners.

hey man - Im well aware of the economics of it.. that does not excuse this imho. its very hard to blame the fans for being fans.. asking people to stop posting on toys they like seems harsh, im sure this board will always be a haven for flippers, and yes as long as people will pay this will go on.
guess its 'how it is'... but I still feel this perticular action is wrong.

i didn't say it was right, and i'm not saying people should completely stop posting it, but when you have someone pay $300 for a figure that hadn't been released in the US yet, there's something wrong there.
and it's exactly as you say, it's economically driven. I don't like it either, but that's the way the cookie crumbles for the time being.
it does suck though, i certainly wasnt trying to imply that it doesnt.

I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about stuff for a number of pages, and I don't think there's anything intrinsically wrong with anyone listing stuff for stupid money...
... but I do think it's a problem when people are stupid and actually pay the stupid prices. (there actually is a reason why we call them "stupid prices") Especially for things that we know will be coming out for retail prices in America a few weeks after the initial drop in Japan.
As I've said before, some people just have more money than brains...

Yup, would flippers flip if no one bought? Blame the dumb buyers.

I have to admit that I have paid those prices before and will again. If I hadn't be able to get the set and saw these I may have jumped. This set rules. I wonder what a blood set will fetch, but I hope never to see them for sale.
