He never went away . . . just 'lost his way' a little!
The only question is does it sit on the Jarvis shelf or in amongst the Lau!

I thought those toys he did for XL were badass, esp the hamburger. But that was back before I broke the $100 toy barrier... wish i had one now..

I'd like Lau pieces so much more if they were like half their actual size... they're just too darn big for my small house.

Is this going to really be made?
This would be my favorite thing from both of them for quite some time.

The SFCC line were some of my first designer toys so it's nice to see another addition to the collection.

sad to hear.
thats what i never got about last years pointman by lau.
seems like lau lost touch some time ago,
read an interview in which he stated eric so isnt an artist at all.

I've still got high hopes for this one! . . . I like the way Lau has no 'set style', and all the 'tributes' and re-inventions of other artists just bring new elements to the party. They are never straight rips, more reinterpretations.
The Eric So comment was kinda unnecessary and made Lau sound like a tool but I don't think he's particularly comfortable doing interviews and I take translations with a pinch of salt.
That being said Eric So doesn't seem to have produced anything too ground breaking recently

Work harder . . earn more $$$ . . . buy a bigger house . . . or just send all your Base over to the UK to make room if it's easier!

maybe, but still doesnt justify laus comments on eric so imo.
someone else said lau is back,
so guess each his own.
me like em both very much!
homage maybe too early.
nothin against reinterpretation, thats great
only cant see any interpretation,
maybe thats why.
to me - same as info sites assumed -
it looks like a collab: martin head
on lau body. ...which is fxxking awesome.
only dont get why he does it on his own.
maybe we should ask jarvis what he thinks about it.
seems like some members might know him very well!!!

I guess after that JayZ gaffe he decided to improve his portraiture skills a bit...

From the man himself on the Clutter blog:
Quote: Hello,
Just to say I haven't collaborated with anyone on this. This is the first I've heard about the project.

I have a vague recollection that sketch was posted earlier somewhere, but not as a proto design, more of a drawing done at a show for someone ... but, given the photo of the package, I guess it's the real deal.
BTW, does anyone know more about the reference in the Clutter blog to "the Christie's auction"? (W/the Sket 20" dumny.)
Phillips de Pury auctions kaiju, while Christie's auctions KR stuff?

Sket said it was for a Pop Art exhibition, the only reference I can find on the Chrisitie's website is a Pop Culture auction on 24th and 25th June at the Rockefeller Center NY. No catalogue is online for this yet though.
