 Madballs Series 2!!!
Really happy to see another set come out, and a new character! Blech Beard! Hopefully Super Madballs aren't too far away.

I HATE the new Wolfbreath, the old one was one of my favorites. The others are all killer but that WB just is too far from the OG for me to like it.

Yeah, and this squishy stuff just isn't OG. Keep it that foamy stuff little kids can play and toss around. The squishy just reminds me of five and dime cheapies that were around for years so its not like they're bringing in new technology.

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
I don't remember them being hard, I just remember holding an OG ball years later and thinking it was hard due to age. As long as they're some sort of foam I'm glad, I still haven't gotten all of series 1 yet. I'll get this version of Wolfbreath, but I'm fueled to get an original now just cause I love it so much more.
I REALLY wannna nab the Head Poppers from back in the day, they're the best!

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
When I first saw the wolfbreath shot as a toy, I didn't realize it was him, I did prefer the old sculpt on that as well. As for materials I had a vintage Locklips mint on card, but it was losing a bit of paint being in there so I decided to open it up a couple months ago, it crumbled like super soft cake in my hand, paint came off and all, literally disintegrated, I had never seen anything like it. Really sad watching my favorite madball crumble away, I hope they reissue him. So I can't say I am fond of the old material, as a kid too none of my madballs survived for more than a couple weeks, luckily they were like 3 for 5 bucks or better everywhere. There was also an arcade game you could win them from, they sat on rotating metal platforms with holes cut out the bottom and you shot beads at them trying to knock them loose, got a lot that way too.

I will definitely pick these up
And our old ones too eventually disintegrated. Really weird

I have an old one somewhere and it's pretty much still alive... Me and my brother used to throw 'em against the bedroom wall all the time and gave it a rough time.

I got all of Series 1 super-cheap (thanks Urban Outfitters) and can't wait to get these ones as well.

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
I haven't picked up any of these new ones yet, I'm not really feeling them enough to order them and the stupid ass Canadian TRU is too fucking lame to carry them so I can't check them out in person.
I'm sticking to foam OG's and Japanese Head Poppers!

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
I picked up all of Series 1, plus the Sick Series. Great stuff. I'm not exactly all that keen on all the "slime" they've worked into the sculpts [like, even the new Oculous Orbus has slimey cuts...why!?]. It's a bit over-the-top and repetitive. Like, my fav OG was Slobulus, and while I like the new Series 1 and Sick Slobulus, the loss of hair and added stitches and slime and whatnot really sorta rob it of character. Oh, and the new Wolfbreath is pretty weak. But many of the other new Series 2 are great. Blech Beard and Dust Brain, in particular. Either way, I'm definitely getting Sick Series 2. Those things rock my world. And speaking of which, for those who're into the Sick Series ones, I'd strongly suggest storing them in zip lock bags--ya don't want the greasy inner sacks to dry out... Hehe...I said " greasy inner sacks"! Oh, I NEED to see this!! Don't suppose any are in existence any longer...?

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
I haven't seen one of the arcade games since the 80's. Used to play them all the time as a kid at Tilt arcades and this resort called Mesquite. Would make an awesome display case for them though with a custom marquee by Lamour or something. I don't like how the wolfbreath looks like skinned flesh and the added bone really or how occulus isn't the clean looking eyeball that really stands out anymore but still better than disintegrating originals I paid good money for. Too bad people are so anti blood on toys now because the slime is getting a bit over done. Still these look great on shelves and are a steal for 5 bucks a piece. Urbies had them for 8 bucks, saw them discounted to 4 but a dollar isn't that big of a deal to not support that crappie store. As long as american greetings makes these I will buy them, it was by far the most creative toy brand in the 80's and set the standard on creeped out toys.

 Re: Madballs Series 2!!!
I love these things. I had remembered having them as a kid from some garage sale my dad had taken me to. Totally forget about the toy, and then last comic con some guys selling a re-issue of the series out of a little bin wedged between the toytokyo booth. It was a blast seeing 'em again, I'm glad they're making 'em. However was it just me or did the ones being sold at the comic con07 look diff then the ones sold at all the mass chains? It seemed like they weren't quite finished in comparison to the release date ones. As for series two whoohoo! I'm picking these guys up for sure. So cheap compared to are toys
