Post Kozyndan – Uprisings Resin
Awesome.

VP sez:

Quote:
Kozyndan’s classic Uprisings image (below for comparison) is now available as a limited-edition resin from Munky King. Sculpted by Julie B. of Pretty in Plastic, The large wave crests at 9.5” and features bunnies riding the surf in the foam. Limited to ten signed and numbered pieces, Uprisings comes with two extra bunnies

That did not translate very well. Asking $450 adds insult to injury.

Looks a bit like those ice cream sundays made out of wax, it probably doubles as a toxic candle.

It's a shame that the resin is so bad b/c I like some of Kozyndan's work.

I agree that this did not translate very well. I always enjoyed the illustration and the reference to Hokusai. Without knowing how big this sculpture is but it looks to me like it should have been bigger and more detailed in comparison to what we're seeing here.

Ultra lame. Looks nothing like their work and more like a crappy version of the source material. And they want $450 for it....someone's been hitting 'the pipe'
