My portfolio went from being roughly 28% up to barely beating my cd accounts since I discovered toys. Coincidence?

when the economy takes a shit, buy some toys. wait... think it should be, buy stocks when it takes a shit, buy toys right before. whatever.

I loaded up when they announced itunes, the market tanked that day.....sometimes the market is stupid. I have been out for a long time (since the split). Apple is a great company but a speculative investment to be certian. Anything that does not throw off cash is a crap shoot.

Little Stevie Jobs knows what he's doing...
I've watched mine rebound after it tanked in 2001 along with a number of other tech stocks. Just been growing and growing.

You gotta hokey pokey with tech stocks, not a place you want to "park" your $$$.

Anybody who thinks they are "investing" in vinyl toys is cracked.

i really don't think that view exists much here on RFSO and definitely not with people i'm tight with.

Anyone have "friends" or acquaintances who are trying to make money off of vinyl these days??

I'm with Jackie. Speculation is ridiculous - basically gambling with really, really bad odds. You may as well take your money and hide it under a rock just to see if it multiplies.

I myself would feel incredibly guilty buying something and immediately selling it for more - but perhaps that's just me.

If you're going to invest in art, buy Mark Ryden paintings and prints, not vinyl.

+1

With that said, if the jLed Molten Ringo Bear (1/50) dropped in SF, I would take a friend so I could buy two. Sometimes gambling is fun too.
