Re: Deadbeet
To my knowledge thats the only one painted by Scott and theres been 0 factory paints, everything has been micro runs.
Unpainted? I could think of 8 off the top of my head but counted 13 or 14 on this thread including the new clear green/gid marble

Re: Deadbeet
The influx of American artists producing Sofubi figures in Japan drew a ton of criticism here, but is seemingly becoming more accepted.
I enjoy Tollesons work, especially his newer stuff "Trayjus" and "Malicus"
Please somebody agree with me that traditionally western toy artists branching off into Eastern vinyl production is FAR less offensive than FUKNO slapping the words "Japanese Vinyl" and "Sofubi" on their mass produced, Chinese made Ninja Turtles...

As I recall the criticism was mainly directed at their sudden appearance solely to pimp their shit to a ready-made marketplace, with zero contribution to the forum or interest in Japanese vinyl other than to make a fast buck from it. With less shit to pimp they went away . . . kinda confirming that theory.

Cool that he's sculpting his own stuff.

Re: Deadbeet
I like the some of the figures that he's doing lately, especially the pieces he did for Clutter and I'm glad he's getting away form the cute stuff. But the piece he did of the half naked lady that he's releasing at STGCC with Pobber Toys doesn't make sense to me. Not sure where he's going with that. But alas, that has nothing to do with Deadbeets....

I can't tell you how many unpainted releases there have been. As for as factory painted releases, there has been 1. The Haunted Carrot. Why do you ask?

Wanted to give this thread some love. Not a good photo apology~ God is it my imagination or does Flickr get more painful every time I use it?
