Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
A new version, available now via FOE Gallery in Northampton, MA. M5 Bravo is being phased out, these are the last of them... he had a good run, but may be back in some other form! This Teleportation version is sort of squishy vinyl, packed with silver glitter. http://www.shopfoe.com/ViewProduct.asp?ModelNumber=MTFJL6

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
M5 is such a rad little monster, sad to see him go. The new colourway is rad but I decided to get the OG yellow edition. Hopefully I can find a matching Stee-Gar soon.

Oh no, M5 has been my favorite character of yours so far. I know you have many more great character on the horizon, but he will always have a special place in my heart, or at least on my shelf.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
M5 Bravo is back...introducing BATTLE DAMAGE M 5 BRAVO Initially he was a robot/monster cyborg created by the military for deep space recon missions, but became self aware and went off on his own. Since the original version has been retired, we reworked a couple pieces and came up with this battle damage version. His fleshy covering has been torn off to reveal a monstrous mechanical beast.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
Working on the header card art today... I found a new technique to get the colored halftone patterns like old comic books & other cheaply printed media. I have some scanned zipatone dot patterns, then just change the colors and work in layers. It's a slow process but the end result is exactly what I want and it's a bit fun too.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
Since the original figure was retired, will the battle damage just be sold as a bag of the new parts, or the whole entire figure with the new parts?

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
The monitor is awesome, it has the detail I hoped for on the original release. I am no longer upset by M5's retirement

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
Thanks guys. Release date- I have an art show at Clutter magazine's spot in NY. I'm pretty sure it will debut there, in November.
Spare damaged parts kit- that is a great idea! I never even thought of that. We'll see how it goes. For now it will be sold as a complete figure.

All of that cool detail cries out for a detailed paint job to go with it. It looks pretty cool.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
This battle damaged M5 is fantastic! I'm still a little saddened that the regular M5 was retired, but I am very happy he's making a comeback in this exciting battle damaged form. And yes, I agree, I would love to see this new sculpt with a detailed paint application. If not on standard releases, then at least on customs.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
The torn out section from the back showing of the spine is killer. I just saw it on Toysrevil. I love the thought of the continued story versions of figures. A post battle Greasebat would be damn cool too.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
Thanks guys! I like the idea of a torn up Greasebat, he has no mechanical parts though, so it would be all guts and bones.
Paint application- I haven't worked that out yet.

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
A handful of the Battle Damaged M5 Bravos will debut at Rivet Gallery, Columbus Ohio this weekend (Dec 7th). Not trying to make them a forced rarity, it's all that were ready by the art show date. There will be plenty more, although limited. In the meantime I finished this up this morning, have a look!

Re: M 5 Bravo & Stee-Gar
Thanks guys! I absolutely love cutaway drawings, ever since I was a little kid. Also, I had an art show over the weekend, some limited edition toys are available here- http://rivetart.com/get_show?i_show=79This marked the debut of the Battle Damaged M5 Bravo figure, in white or raspberry glitter vinyl. Made by Unbox Industries. Also, there's a limited edition set of beige/tan Gummi Playsets, a nod to their inspiration, MUSCLE figures.

Oh... I like those - Battle Damaged M5 Bravo is going to love living on my shelf with the Mecha Greasebats.
Is Super Fight Bug going to be the next new vinyl?
