I'm still a little confused by the photo that uub posted. It appears to indicate that Martin's take on Booska is very close to a pre-existing Yamanaya version. If that's so, I'd assume that's what Martin was asked to do. The photo just surprised me because the aesthetic looks like Martin could have designed the Yamanaya version too.

Hmm, some Martin Ontiveros customs would be nice. Ziggy Booska and the Kaiju from Mars!

Dont worry, its only licensed for the USA so Japan won't even get it! Probably plenty to go around.

From KT's Flickr, it about the size of Eyezon. Looks like this will take up a chunk of shelf space..

I like. My taste seems to be changing cause I'm actually looking for more vinyl with this kind of esthetics nowadays.

I actually like the size, probably in the minority on this one.
This creates more dimension and ranges in my collection when I look at it as a whole. Really don't like a standardize look in my collection.

I heard that these will be available sometime around May thru Strangeco for those that are wondering. I can't wait.

I like it, but its hard to love.
1. Sculpt is good, but it looks like a parody figure instead of a take on the actual icon or a tribute, which makes me think it should be a smaller toy. I have two other booska that will tower over him, but the design makes me think smaller the better. Ill have to see it in person.
2. The color is the same as pretty much all the other bandai/mainstream original releases.
Not that my two cents count, Ill be picking one up, I would just love a blank(pink? lime green?) or a different color scheme.
Anyone know if there will be other colorways?

Hmmm...I agree somewhat with redhanded above, that maybe the size of this sculpt is a little big. There's just something about it. It's gonna look like a giant paired with my only other M.O. figure -- dare I say it?...a *ee. I'm still looking forward to it though.
Any experienced boardies want to weigh in on whether we could expect this figure to be easier to acquire than the Ojos?

I don't know, but I would think so - doesn't seem like it could be any harder from the way Ojo flies off the shelves the moment it hits.
The fact that they're produced in China (rather than by Gargamel) makes me think run sizes will be a bit higher. Don't really know though.
Also, the fact that there's a pre-order makes it pretty damn easy (!) and sounds like they'll try to produce to meet demand.

I think what I like most about it is the sort of '60's cereal mascot look it has - reminds me of breakfast when I was a kid. (Guess I'm showing my age here).
