It's in an issue of S7, I can't recall which. One of the ones in my bathroom for sure.

I managed to get one of these too. The small Pollard sculpt is so perfect, I always wondered why TB didn't just scale it up for the full-sizes. Flopdoodle said they only released 30 of the Chromes.

I was so bummed to miss this. I refreshed like crazy from noon on, suddenly saw 6 in stock, hit add one to cart and it said SOLD OUT! Congrats to all the brains that got one. I'm in Pasadena next week so I'll have to stop by the Bispop shop and see if they might have one in store.

Call me crazy, but I'd love a satin finish steel, a bronze, and a copper (picture the patina)
Like I said, call me crazy.

I will take pollards in any metal alloy they can pour into the molds.

Hey Biskup Heads! I always wondered; is Pollard an original sculpt, or based on some vintage kaiju?

I'm pretty sure its an original design, but I know that Tim was heavily influenced and collects vintage kaiju. Anyone else know?

Pollard is an original sculpt with a kaiju influence. I don't think it was based on a specific vintage figure but I haven't seen them all...
There is a computer rendering of a figure "Drakoman" by Brian Taylor that I'd say was based on Pollard:

As you can see, there is no reason to bow down to me, I'm an amateur in the land of Pollards.
I think my favorite is the turquoise with silver lips on the riser next to the yellow Calli in Paul's collection...

Do you think the Chrome pollard is the last manifestation of the small pollard?

Those pollard collections are all so nice. I wish I could go into the way back machine and get some.

I would bet it is, there hasn't been one for quite a long stretch before this Chrome, and as Pogue speculated above, this may have killed the mold anyway. Seems like I recall someone saying there are two black versions of the mini - One with pearl/sparkle and one without (maybe uub's black mini is sparkly?). I have neither, anyone know? Except for the primary three (red/yellow/GID blue), I believe most of the other solid colors were made in editions of 6.

I sure hope there are more. While this chrome may have broken a mold, I doubt it broke "the" mold. I would suspect that a new mold had to be made for the chrome version and new molds shouldn't be too difficult to make if the original sculpt is still around.
The I think (but am not sure) that there is only one black version and that one has sparkle (I have one). I think the other dark color is actually a really deep/midnight blue. I could be wrong it could be a straight black sans sparkles...

 Polltard...
Hey Pals,
Pollard is inspired by all kinds of stuff (Snoopy, Jippo, puppies, etc) , but no kaiju in particular. It came out at the same time as Dorbel. Jim & I had a laugh and decided they were father & son.
That's probably it for mini Pollard. Maybe new BIG Pollard variations in the works? Could be a while, though.
Thanks for caring!

I was fortunate to pick up a few more of the Sample colorways (handpainted too! )
I missed out big time on the Chrome Pollard though...sigh. My son was born a few days before the release and I wasn't able to be at the computer (probably changing diapers and trying to get him to sleep!)
I still NEED a Purple Sample Pollard (Glenn!) and I would love to just see a Green one (don't think I have ever seen one...maybe TB has a pic?).
