I heard that glitter ruins the molds. So this may mean the end of the run.

Really? Marmit's been doing TONS of glitter stuff that looks very similar to this, and a lot of it on first runs with new molds. I could be wrong, but I really don't see how mixing glitter with the vinyl would wreck a cast metal mold unless there was some kind of chemical reaction.

i like the og ron english mcsupersize mes. The quality on the bigger ones are good while the minis not so good. I was tricked though.

one was listed on TT as rainbow mcsupersize me with no picture at the time and i thought it would be a supersize me multicolor like his crazy psychadelic paintings but it ended up being a rainbow (multicolor) glitter version. I am not a fan of the glitter versions. I bought it quick thinking it might sell quick because they only had a few up at the time.......

I guess I could have been a bit more descriptive. I think it was Brain who was telling me this. Regular glitter sticks to the mold thus ruining it. So it was used as a last ditch effort. I do remember him saying thought that Kiyoka came up with an ingenious system of adding metal flecks. The metal doesn't stick to the sides.

Ron rules!

Love these guys. These glitter versions are kind of loud, obnoxious and kitschy - which in small numbers make a nice addition to my shelves. They are one of teh few pieces of Chinese produced vinyl I actively collect.

I have to agree with an earlier comment that his toys don't come across anywhere near as well as his art, plus in the case of McSupersized I wish these guys had articulated arms that still captured the essence of teh original painting.
