Thanks guys, the sculpt came out perfect. Much larger than Greasebat, of course a little shrinkage will occur in the process, but still at least an inch or two taller.

If I were building a robot to fight a monster I too would make it an inch or two taller.

Worked on this last night....

Going for an 80's metal look to the header card, trying to draw a battle on the moon today, that should be fun. I've been looking at a lot of Gerry Anderson stuff lately, mix his model style with Apollo era space junk. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Have to put pencil to paper yet!

I used to work in a record store with a bunch of metal dudes, we always argued about their silly album covers.

I'm very excited for this figure. I got my first Greasebat yesterday. The Mecha version, based on the artwork I've seen, looks like it has potential to be even better than the normal version. I hope the first version comes in the colors seen here:

Thank you fett42, I couldn't be happier with the sculpt. I could've never sculpted it myself the way it came out. It won't be long until we can post photos, hate to be a tease and hype it up but I got nowhere else to brag about it and be understood, if that makes sense.

A mecha Greasebat deserves a mecha brag !

Can't wait to see it Jeff. I'm sure all the work and patience involved will pay off.

Thanks guys! I think the header is done, I may change the text a little. Eventually I might redo it with toy photos.

Really nice work on the header Jeff. I think you should leave it with the artwork Mecha Greasebat though, rather than a photo. I really like it, and love hand drawn headers (plus you will essentially have the real thing to look at anyways  ).

MECHANIZED GREASEBAT (HEAVY ARMORED) AKA MECHA GREASEBAT.

After Greasebat rampaged all over the globe for several years, it was determined that conventional weapons would not stop him. A team of scientists working with a shadow military organization that does not officially exist, developed Mechanized Greasebat (Heavy Armored) in an abandoned castle in the Black Forest region of Germany.

In a lengthy battle which took place during Operation Vibrant Fist, Greasebat was slightly injured fighting with his three foes, Stee-Gar, Spike Wad and M5 Bravo. At the time, these three monsters were under the control of Earth scientists. Scientists collected several large scales that were knocked from Greasebat's body. Reverse engineering enabled the scientists to form a crude version of Greasebat's armor to use as they wished.

Scientists were also able to recreate Greasebat's nuclear heart material, using DNA from the loose scales found on the battlefield. The small bio-synthetic heart is used to power Mecha Greasebat, and only requires periodic cooling fluid replacement and disposal. There is a flexible steel hose that extends from MGB's groin for this purpose.

The team was able to construct a large, hulking machine capable of fighting Greasebat in nearly any environment. Mecha Greasebat was outfitted with two interchangeable fists. One contains three "fire-and-forget" target tracking missiles, with an effective range of two thousand meters. The other is a rocket propelled offensive weapon, a ball shaped "fist" covered in blunt spikes made from a classified, super hardened polymer steel.

Mecha GB can operate underwater with minor modifications, in space and in nearly all weather extremes. His fire proof armor consists of a solid upper chest piece, flexible stomach area and thick armored scales on his lower body. Two human pilots operate the machine from deep inside the chest, and inside the head.

In the head position is the pilot/gunner, while in the chest is the engineer/navigator/auxiliary gunner.

A specialized droid mans the dangerous post in the lower half of MGB's body, where noxious fumes may overcome a human operator.

Mecha GB is fitted with fairly developed optics (night vision, thermal imaging) and can keep it's human operators safe in nuclear, biological or chemical environments with it's air recirculation system located on his backpack.

Mecha GB can fly for short distances (range classified) on Earth, using a small rocket propulsion device located on his lower rear hull. This same device can provide much longer flight in the vacuum of space with added fuel tanks.

His head can be rotated a full 360 degrees and remain operable. The horns contain communications equipment to relay information back to the secret castle base.

The short armored legs are capable of making him run at speeds up to 35 kph. Each of his six toes double as short range armor piercing rockets.

It's main weaponry includes a fuel/air mixture blaster, which fires from its open mouth. The pressurized mix is blasted forth, enveloping it's target with a deadly mix of flaming fuel vapor.

Mecha Greasebat also has a spiked shoulder shield, sometimes used as an offensive weapon, by ramming it into an opponent's body.

Mecha Greasebat is protected by two companies of international military forces. His two person crew undergoes rigorous training to have the honor of piloting MGB.
