I love all the transitions between different textures on this guy. Seriously an amazing sculpt.

animator wrote: I love all the transitions between different textures on this guy. Seriously an amazing sculpt. Yeah..agreed. I've kind of held off on commenting to process it all. There is so much going on and it works really well. The stance is extremely imposing and the texture is just crazy . I love how it looks so fluid and especially how the sculpt looks equally like it's in motion as well as just standing.

Re: Specimen: Slugbeard
This one was totally fun!
It was like a game of solitaire trying to beat the symmetry but keeping it fluid and cool. Like trees or a coral reef. The structure of Slugbeard changed many times, it was crazy.
I was getting tired of the same old L/R symmetry but definitely wanted the "man in suit" look, and most definitely didn't want an extra head there like a two headed creature.
Thanks Gang!

The tip of the tentacle curled up grasping the chain is so perfect! Will the head, and body be one piece?

11 parts total. The head and upper torso are one part. Both arms are 2 parts. Pelvis, legs, and wormy looking tail.

This figure is very exciting, I love the organic feel! Do you have a close-up shot of the arm/head thing?

Re: Specimen: Slugbeard
Fucking awesome Paul! How tall is it? Wil it be fighting pollen kaiser or boss carrion?
And the arm/profile pic is a highly magnified shot of a parasitic worm I believe. I remember that oic. Or it's a an eyelash mite or something.

Re: Specimen: Slugbeard
Slugbeard just shot up my list of favorite PK sculpts! Paul, how big is he compared to your other toys? Somewhere between a Boss and a Pollen Kaiser? Pretty stoked that this is a TAG deal. Hopefully that means larger runs and more toys for everyone! EDIT: Ha! Phil and I are on the same page it seems.

Such a welcomed sculpt amongst the sea-life based pieces.

Yeah, I was wrong about it being a waterbear... it's a hydrothermal worm! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/18/hydrothermal-worm-electron-microscope_n_901833.html

I love the different textures on this and the arm with the ball and chain attached. I'd definitely like to see a painted version of this guy.

Re: Specimen: Slugbeard
Answer from Paul on the size (from an Instagram comment): Quote: 10" to 14" inches tall. Larger than standard.
