I like the lil' doggy, but I don't know if I have $85 worth of like. That's a pricey pooch!

I really like this sculpt and this is probably the only toy my wife would ever truly like (at least for a few mins) but def a bit pricey. I'd be more willing to shell out that cash for a painted but since this is coming from some new names I'm not sure it merits that price. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes though!

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
I love the little smile on this guy, but was confused as to how this could possibly be considered "kaiju"... All doubts in my mind have been erased with the release of the header card art by Javier Jimenez. EAT ALL THE DREAMS.

Looks like he wants to bring up his post count, which explain the inane posts. also had sale thread taken down, no idea what that was about but good on James for the swift action.

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
$85 seems ridiculous. Maybe I'm wrong but the figure doesn't seem very large. I thought maybe 50 bones.

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
Maybe this theme should be moved from American idols? Paulus Shyu the creator of Nimbus is from Singapore. Paulus received the first test pull of the Nimbus... Looks great , tho as sculptor is always a bit nerve wracking to no be able to see in person the final thing before it goes to the masses. Some things might change in the whole production process.

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
Looks great Walter! I'd say this belongs here more than the Japan Toys forum, as neither the creator or the sculptor are Japanese. We have a lot of non-American artists' toys in this section, so maybe we should change the section to "Gaijin Toys" or something.

Have a great day ! Most people here knows What You do on the scene, you are respected . No need to explain yourself, I'm always lurking on the board too, I guess I feel guilty about it and I'm trying to get my "posts count up" too but seems like I still will be "fresh meat" for quite sometime lol And yes , it was , me , I can see you really been out of the social networks and blogs news. Nimbus has been out there for quite some time. But yeah, i don't have time to post much of my stuff lately. I'm trying to get back on track with that. I really enjoyed boards, blogging and stuff, but make toys is very time consuming shit (as you know) or you make toys or you blog and do social relationships. I do prefer to make ugly toys.

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
Sleepwalker Nimbus is awesome. Chauskoskis work is awesome. Paulus Hyu is awesome. People who count others post counts, and attack them on the subject... Not awesome. lol I am hoping for a big box of these puppies to show up at my house to paint in the near future.

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
I honestly do like this toy, but seeing as Joe has always sold painted cadaver kids for 85 or less (75 for the guardian demons I did a couple years back), I'm seriously thinking the maker/designer/distributor of this figure have a couple screws loose... Hmmmm - let me think cadaver kid (any) or blank doggy...? No contest. In fact, I can eat ramen or curry 10 times for that price. That's the real winner!
That said - really nice work on the sculpt Walter - as always.

That said - really nice work on the sculpt Walter - as always. haha thats the good thing about toys, theres a market and a taste for everything. personally, im not a fan of the cadaver kid. so even if i wasn't the sculptor of the Nimbus, i would buy it instead Cadaver B. and about the price, honestly don't know why its that price, maybe he got a big fan base willing to pay it? i can think a few good reason why they are setting that price. And sure, i can think a couple ideas about why they maybe need to get the price down. either way it was a cool project

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
I really look forward to painting more detailed one offs of SW nimbus. from a painters point of view the figure is so fun, doesn't rub anywhere, and has lots of great textures. I understand this figure is priced differently from other figures in the scene, but whatever... this is the original image of concepts i did for Paulus for the clear figure run Here are pics of the 2 micro runs Nagata did:

Re: Sleepwalker Nimbus
A shame that the third from the top didn't get chosen, I love those colors! Though I love the sculpt, I think I'll be holding off until a GID one is made... I think I have a problem.
